Choko Kimura Aiken

Internationally know jazz pianist, Choko was born and raised in Japan. She began studying piano at the age of three. She also studied piano, violin, voice and music theory at colleges in Tokyo and Fukuoka as well as making journeys to the United States to study jazz in Los Angeles and New York. Her “Imagination” album, recorded in LA in 2011, was featured in that year’s February issue of “JAZZIZ” magazine. Living in Birmingham, AL now with her husband, Jeff, Choko as played at many
local venues including The 4th Avenue Jazz Festival, Moss Rock Festival, Creek Bank Festival, Mt. Brook Arts Festival and many more.
